Wow!

40 min later...

And there it goes!

30 min later...

We have some sign of an eruption.

20 min later...

10 min later...

Great Fountain Geyser

We took a small detour and drove north on Firehole Drive where we
encountered Great Fountain Geyser. It erupts once every 12 hours or so
and was scheduled to erupt in 10-40 minutes. We decided to stick
around for the 100-200 ft eruptions.

And Higher!

There Shw Blows!

Mmmm.... Making me hungry. I will miss Isa. Nice lily pond.

Continental Divide

We've passed a few of these Continental Divide signs. Water that falls
east of the sign eventually drains into the Atlantic, west of the sign
into the Pacific. How they know the exact spot? Not sure.
Need to ask Wikipedia when I'm back in cell range.

Baby Trees

A clearer shot of the baby trees.

Fire

A little bit about the intensity of the fire which jumped over roads
and natural canyons and rivers.

Dead Trees, New Trees

The big fire of 1988 burned down over one third of the park. You can
see tall dead trees and lots of little new trees throughout the
hillside. It's an interesting sight.
